Connect your bank
Securely link a bank account so transactions import and reconcile automatically.
Connect your bank#
Connecting a bank is the fastest way to keep your books current — transactions flow in and the agent matches them to invoices and expenses for you.
How to connect#
- Go to Expenses → Bank accounts (or ask the agent to "connect my bank").
- Choose your institution and sign in through the secure bank connection window.
- Approve read-only access. AgentBook never sees or stores your bank password.
Your access token is encrypted at rest, and you can disconnect an account at any time.
What happens after connecting#
- Recent transactions import automatically, and a first-time connection backfills up to a couple of years of history so your past year reconstructs.
- The agent auto-categorizes each transaction and matches payments to open invoices.
- Anything it's unsure about lands in your review queue instead of being guessed.
Good to know#
- Bank connection is a paid feature — you'll be prompted to upgrade the first time you connect.
- Personal and business accounts can both be linked; mark transactions as business or personal and the agent keeps them separate for tax.
